Love Unwrapped

I wonder
if the earth is
wrapped in
tumultuous cloud

suffocating in its purpose
unable to breathe or feel
crying to be released

like the day my heart
felt saddened and heavy
lost without love
or hope

and my God said

sit among the buttercups

and bluebells

smell their sweetness
high on the snow capped cliffs
of the alpine tundra

witness the fragility of survival
among the sedges
the grasses

inhale the freshness
into your heart

breathe in My love

to uncover
all that saddens
your heart

If my people,
which are called by my name,
shall humble themselves, and pray,
and seek my face,
and turn from their wicked ways;
then will I hear from heaven,
and will forgive their sin,
and will heal their land.

makes a person wonder if the Earth has had a few 'reset' buttons pushed in the past.

Holding onto God's hand in troubled times is comforting especially when we're too tired to even whisper His name.

Beautiful words here today, Donna.
