Long Distance Love

I've heard it said
no one can love from a distance
yet here I am and there you are
my insides sting waiting to hear
you speak my name

then in an instant
my heart sings and leaps
as the sound of your voice
tenderly whispers from afar

I love you

the sweet melody from your lips
fills the sky to let me know
love endures

do you know I love YOU?

Listen

awakened in the quiet
and still of  night

faint words of hope,
 delicate as snowflakes
 drifting gentle to earth ,
whisper to my ear

tell my heart to listen

alive from sleep
I touch the new of morn
help me hear you  Lord
I pray  I would hear

Where Love Lives On

there's you

there's me

there's Life

and within the chaos of everyday

there's poetry.

words to
intoxicate, invigorate,entice
the heart
to awaken and love.

Love Unwrapped

I wonder
if the earth is
wrapped in
tumultuous cloud

suffocating in its purpose
unable to breathe or feel
crying to be released

like the day my heart
felt saddened and heavy
lost without love
or hope

and my God said

Go...

sit among the buttercups

and bluebells

smell their sweetness
high on the snow capped cliffs
of the alpine tundra

witness the fragility of survival
among the sedges
the grasses

inhale the freshness
into your heart

breathe in My love

to uncover
all that saddens
your heart

If my people,
which are called by my name,
shall humble themselves, and pray,
and seek my face,
and turn from their wicked ways;
then will I hear from heaven,
and will forgive their sin,
and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14

Sullen Days Of March

through long wintery months
sparkling feathery powder
disrupts, disturbs
the quiet lives
sleepy villages and towns
of a world

frosty little imps of flakes
joyfully play and tease
leap through the air
cling to branches;
fall onto frozen earth
slippery, mischievous

sturdy boughs of spruce
droop,
begging for a release
from shivering cold
shaking in their plea
for warmer day,

a season lingers
under winter's blast of frozen crystals
a world awaits
return of flower's sweet scent
and plush meadow's green

such a glorious task
each season's wondrous beauty
God's design
